Playful Embellishments

On the market today are a myriad of artful pendants that are just waiting to be added to your French Knitted Necklaces. We have had a wonderful time embellishing our French Knitter creations and are continuing to think of new ideas.

This Butterfly necklace is a great example as it blends so beautifully with the beads.

The Butterfly Necklace was created with the monofilament technique and using the 6-peg head on the French Knitter.

Have a few extra buttons around? Try adding them to a necklace or bracelet for a unique look that is truly one of a kind.

Also, Clover has many flower templates that have made fun additions as well…Flower Frills, Kanzashis, & Sweetheart Roses.

For the pink flower necklace the reverse side of the small round petal Kanzashi Flower accented with a button was added to make a bold statement necklace.

We’ve had so much fun sharing our models with you and truly hope you will share your creations with us…Happy French Knitting!

  1. Oh, those are so pretty! Love the butterfly one! Thanks for the chance to win this great package! Would love to add the French Knitter to my jewelry making tools.

    • Karen, that beautiful butterfly can be found at the bead section of your local craft stores….just wait till you see what all is available! you will be making jewlery till the cows come home. That’s and old southern expression. glad you like the French knitter….good luck with the drawing for the giveaway1

    • Maybeline, good luck in the drawing! Oh…don’t let knitting intimidate you….pick a simple project like a washcloth to work on. Quick and easy and everyone that makes and uses them say they never want anything else to wash their dishes with!

    • Alisa, you can be just as talented. This tool is easy to use and once you make the hard decision regarding the beads you want to use the actual process is e-a-s-y !!
      Good luck..

  2. Oh my! Just beautiful!!!! I love the necklaces they are beautiful!!!!! I was very excited when I saw that Clover had the French Knitter and I began to check my local craft stores and to my disappointment they did not carry it..:(
I am anxious to get one to begin knitting with it……Thank you for the opportunity to enter for a chance to win the great package…….

    • They are not hard to use.

The most “time-consuming” part is pre-stringing the beads.

Some find starting challenging, but the directions and video are very helpful.

The rhythm of making the stitches varies with the type of fiber used. Fibers with several strands seem to separate and it is important to pick up all the strands when making your stitch.

      Good Luck!

  3. I love these, you sure could get creative with the french knitter. It would be fun to win this package and play around with it.

  4. I want a French Knitter. Check with stores around my area and none of them had heard of it. I told them it was a Clover product. Clover is a great company for having made these crafts available to us.

Brings back lovely memories of dear old mom, sitting in her store with the bobbin in one hand and the needle in the other….can’t wait to pass on the knowledge to my grand-daughter ….as it seems to becoming back in vogue. I wish I could find mine but I know it’s long gone. Unfortunately, nobody seems to carry them…now jewellery is something I would love to make.

  25. I so want to be able to make jewelry this way and I know my youngest granddaugher will love it too. We share a household, and I know she’d love to share this. She’s just learning to knit and to do beading. I’ve learned to knit jewelry with beads and wire, but this would make it a lot easier on my hands.

  26. I don’t know if this giveaway is still open for the beading things, but if so, I would love to throw my hat in the ring.

  27. These are sooooooooo beautiful, even if I don’t win, I’m going to buy the french knitter so I can make the jewelry for myself and special friends!!
