Ok, this is it. One final thought before heading home. It’s been a wonderful, relaxing vacation, but I do miss my stash of fabric and yarns back home! Plus, it’s time to get back to work. There’s so much going on with Clover I can’t wait to hit the ground running with all the renewed energy this trip has provided me!
But it’s just so hard to think about packing (not my favorite thing to do) and returning to snow and cold temps. I just hope that doesn’t throw me into a post-vacation depression! In the meantime, I’ll focus on the wonderful times we had and look forward to digging into that pile of fabric and yarn and coming up with new projects!
We left beautiful St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 81 degree weather with gentle trades blowing and arrived to SNOW! I’m not sure my system has recovered!….or will.
I have recently read about a new method of knitting socks….you cast on the yarn for both socks onto the same set of double point needles…one sock is knit around the other…..uh huh….confusing until you see the pictures….I figure my first attempt should be done with two different colored socks until I get the rhythm of the pattern.
ANY BRAVE SOULS WILLING TO DO THIS WITH ME? I could blog every other day about my progress and yours and see what happens….it will either become my most favorite method of making socks or will put me in the loony bin!! If you are interested in doing a joint project let me know what you would be interested in working on.
I made a bit of progress on my applique piece as you can see in the pictures and will continue posting as I finish this panel and start on another. I rather like posting about my work as it keeps me focused and I might actually finish projects rather than putting them away and starting a new one….blogging rehab! yea!
I loved working on the applique in all that bright sunlight…it makes a big difference for these old eyes.
Being home I have already pulled several knit projects out and am deciding which will be done first.
I will share pics of the progress and hope you will write and share pics of your projects.
As always, happy stitching!
